FAQ

How does heat distribution work?

  • On the base of the pan there is a standard size circular disc to place on your heat source. It can be used on any size hob and this is plate distributes the heat throughout your pan. It has been designed so that the grill section, which is in the middle of the pan will always be 15-20% hotter than the side sections. This makes is ideal to cook meats and fish at a slightly higher temperature while the sides remain slightly less hot for cooking vegetables, potatoes, eggs, pancakes, etc. It is not recommended to use frying pans at a constant high heat. We recommend using a medium heat and let the heat gradually flow through the pan prior to cooking.

  • What is an Induction Hob?

  • Induction hobs are unique. They create a magnetic field between the induction element in the hob and the pan. This means that only the pan heats up, rather than the cooking surface. Induction hobs are quicker than other types of hob, and are cheaper to run because they use only the precise amount of energy you need. However, they only work with special pans, hence why we offer a different model. Most people in the UK have gas, electric or ceramic hobs.
