FUEL Phone Charger
Size doesn't matter. Good things come in small packages. Napoleon Complex. All of these could apply to FUEL; the world's smallest cell / mobile phone charger, from UK company Devotec Industries.
Originally launched on Kickstarter back in March 2013, the first production units have just landed on doormats (The Fowndry's included) and first impressions are that it's a very cool little device - even more like a tiny replica jerry can than prototype images suggested; actually it's so beautifully presented in it's crystal case that it's tempting to leave it in its box... might as well actually, since being in possession of an iPhone, the first iteration Micro USB version is about as useful as the proverbial one legged man at an arse kicking contest. Not so of course, if you have an Android phone or Kindle. So, just the facts ma'am...
It is absolutely teeny - just 1.4 by 0.9 by 0.5 inches. It’s so small that it can sit easily on your keyring, you can slip it into the 5th pocket of your jeans, or even have it hanging off your cellphone (via the included lanyard). Its 220 milliAmp hour rechargeable Li-ion battery is designed to give you around 20 - 30 minutes extra talk time, or up to a few hours more standby, depending on how you use your cell phone - and the battery should give you 500 cycles.
It retails for £19.99 and the Devotec site says a Lightning version will be available this year*.
